NWC WOMEN FALL IN OVERTIME

After a strong October pushed the Northwest College women’s soccer team into the postseason on a high note, the season came to a close on the road at Central Wyoming College. A golden goal off a corner kick in overtime ended the Trapper’s season 2-1 in Riverton on Saturday.

TRAPPER WOMEN COME UP SHORT AT CENTRAL

In another game of two halves the Northwest College women’s soccer team came up short on the road, losing to Central Wyoming College 2-1 after a strong second half wasn’t enough to push past the hosts.

WOMEN'S SOCCER CONTINUES WIN STREAK

October has been just what the Northwest College women’s soccer team needed, as the Trappers continued their undefeated run with another pair of shutout wins, defeating Lamar Community College 6-0 and Northeastern Junior College 5-0 to earn a spot in the postseason.

WOMEN'S SOCCER SPLITS HOME GAMES

Returning home for the first time in a month brought out the best in the Northwest College women’s team Friday, as a Bailey Wright hat trick alongside a strong goalkeeping performance by Julianna Hidalgo led to a 3-0 win over Gillette College, before a difficult Saturday contest saw Northwest fall to visiting Casper College.

TRAPPER WOMEN'S SOCCER SPLITS ROAD GAMES

Finishing up the final weekend of a month-long road trip to start the regular season, the Northwest College women’s soccer team split games against Region IX opponents, losing 2-1 to Otero College on Friday before cruising past Trinidad State College 8-0 on Saturday.

WOMEN'S SOCCER TIES IN IDAHO

After its Friday match was canceled, the Northwest College women’s soccer team started strong but sputtered out in a 1-1 draw against North Idaho College on the road Saturday in the final nonconference match of the regular season.

NWC WOMEN SPLIT SEASON OPENERS

Starting the regular season with a pair of neutral site games in Ephraim, Utah, the Northwest College women’s soccer team started the year 1-1, losing a difficult contest on Thursday to Yavapai College 1-0 out of Prescott, Arizona. The Trappers rebounded on Friday, defeating a Region IX opponent in Western Nebraska Community College 5-2 in a nonconference matchup.

NWC WOMEN SPLIT SCRIMMAGES

The women’s soccer team split its preseason scrimmages against four-year institutions, defeating the University of Providence 7-1 on Friday before falling to Rocky Mountain College 3-0 on Sunday.

The Northwest College soccer teams welcomed local area youth to an August camp, allowing the recruits to interact with local players and help create new fans for the Trappers.

WOMEN'S SOCCER AIMING HIGH

Following a heartbreaking defeat in the Region IX Championship Game a season ago at home, the Northwest College women’s soccer team is aiming for a repeat campaign while trying to take home the first Region IX title in women’s program history.

Northwest College athletes enjoyed a number of academic honors following strong seasons of competition. All six programs made the All-Academic teams and 52 individual athletes while the volleyball team finished second in the nation.

TRAPPER ATHLETICS DOMINATE ACADEMIC HONORS

Strong performances on the court were backed by strong performances in the classroom for Northwest College athletics, as all six teams made the All-Academic team list with cumulative team GPAs over 3.0, and 52 athletes were named individually to the All-Academic honors list.

SOCCER CAMP BRINGS ELITE SKILLS

Northwest College soccer coach Rob Hill was in action with Park County youth in June, hosting two different Elite Soccer Camps in Powell and Cody.

Left, Pressly Taylor was named Trapper Athlete of the Year for the women after she improved in her second season at Northwest College, finishing with 14 goals and seven assists. Right, sophomore Drew Larson was named the men's Trapper Athlete of the Year after scoring 15.5 points per game and hauling in 7.7 rebounds per game last season.

Northwest College recently announced its end of year recipients for annual awards, as the Trappers capped off a strong 2024-25 year.

TRAPPERS FALL SHORT IN REGION CHAMPIONSHIP

A historical first took place Saturday at Trapper Field as the Northwest College women’s soccer team played in, and hosted, a region titile game for the first time. However, the Trappers came up short against defending Region IX champion Laramie County Community College 1-0 to end the Northwest season.
