BAUMSTARCK SIGNS WITH BISMARK

Northwest College volleyball sophomore Ellianna Baumstarck signed her letter of intent in January to continue her playing career at Bismarck State University, an NAIA school in North Dakota.

TRAPPER VOLLEYBALL ENDS ON A HIGH

The Northwest College volleyball team finished the season on a high despite being swept by Central Wyoming College on Wednesday, returning home Friday to earn a 3-1 win over Western Wyoming Community College.

Two more road contests led to another difficult weekend for the Northwest College volleyball team, as the Trappers fell to Laramie County Community College 3-0 on Friday before losing to Eastern Wyoming College 3-1 on Saturday.

NORTHWEST VOLLEYBALL FALLS AT HOME

Needing wins to kickstart the second half of the conference season, the Northwest College volleyball team hosted a pair of difficult opponents, as the Trappers were swept by visiting Casper College and Gillette College.

TRAPPERS EARN FIRST CONFERENCE WIN

An extremely busy midseason week saw the Northwest College volleyball team playing three matches in six days, losing 3-1 to Central Wyoming College on Wednesday, Oct. 8, sweeping Western Wyoming Community College on Friday before losing to the Rocky Mountain College JV 3-0 on Tuesday night.

NWC FALLS IN HOME CONFERENCE MATCHES

After starting conference play on the road the Northwest College volleyball team hosted its first Region IX games of the season, falling to Laramie County Community College 3-1 on Friday and getting swept by Eastern Wyoming College on Saturday.

NWC VOLLEYBALL DROPS REGION IX OPENERS

The Northwest College volleyball team stepped up its level of competition and couldn’t quite keep up, falling on the road in its Region IX openers to NJCAA No. 19 ranked Casper College 3-0 on Friday and Gillette College 3-1 on Saturday.

TRAPPERS READY FOR REGION IX PLAY

Following an extra week of rest after canceling a match in Billings against the Rocky Mountain JV, the Northwest College volleyball team is ready to roll into Region IX action, hoping the extra week of healing will help the Trappers be at full strength.

Playing three games at home paid dividends for the Northwest College volleyball team, as the Trappers won all three matches in their home tournament against the Carroll College JV, Dawson Community College and Williston State College.

NWC VOLLEYBALL STUMBLES IN BUSY WEEK

The Northwest College volleyball team came up short in a Region IX crossover tournament in Cheyenne, losing to North Platte Community College, Trinidad State College and Western Nebraska Community College, but the Trappers earned a win against Southeast CC to salvage one win.

The Northwest College volleyball team started the season strong after a Gillette tournament, beating Dakota College at Bottineau 3-0, Miles Community College 3-2, Dawson Community College 3-0 and Williston State College 3-1.

Stepping onto the court and making an instant impact while carrying on a family legacy has made for a whirlwind first month for the Arnold sisters at Northwest College, as Lexie, Rylee and Shilah have injected energy into the volleyball program while continuing their journey without the fourth piece of their puzzle.

Two home scrimmages kicked off the year for the Northwest College volleyball team, with the Trappers learning plenty in two days of action at Cabre Gym on Thursday and Friday.

A number of new faces and a new coach makes for a fresh start for the Northwest College volleyball team, which will tip off the 2025 season on Thursday in Cabre Gym, hosting a pair of scrimmages before hitting the road to start the regular season.

NWC VOLLEYBALL WELCOME IN LOCAL YOUTH

August 19, 2025

The Northwest College volleyball team wasted no time getting involved with the local youth, as the Trappers hosted a youth camp at the end of July to get the new players interacting with players from around the area before the season started.

Northwest College athletes enjoyed a number of academic honors following strong seasons of competition. All six programs made the All-Academic teams and 52 individual athletes while the volleyball team finished second in the nation.

TRAPPER ATHLETICS DOMINATE ACADEMIC HONORS

Strong performances on the court were backed by strong performances in the classroom for Northwest College athletics, as all six teams made the All-Academic team list with cumulative team GPAs over 3.0, and 52 athletes were named individually to the All-Academic honors list.
