Mckinlee Covolo - Region 9 Player of the Week
Northwest College sophomore Mckinlee Covolo has been named the Region IX Player of the Week for Week 8 (Jan. 12–18) after a dominant two-game stretch that helped lead the Trappers to a pair of conference victories.
Covolo was outstanding on both ends of the floor, averaging 23 points, 11 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 assist per game, while shooting an impressive 84 percent from the field. Her efficiency and consistency played a key role in Northwest's success during the week.
In a win over Laramie County Community College, Covolo poured in 23 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, while adding a steal to help control the tempo of the game. She followed that performance with another strong outing against Eastern Wyoming, finishing with 23 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal to secure the victory.
Covolo's ability to score efficiently, rebound at a high level, and make an impact on defense continues to set the tone for the Trappers. Her performances during the week exemplify her leadership and importance to the Northwest College lineup, making her a well-deserving recipient of Region IX Player of the Week honors.
