One final road trip to Montana gave the Northwest Trapper rodeo team one more opportunity to move up the Big Sky Region standings to qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper next month — but a difficult weekend led to a fifth place finish, although two cowboys qualified for the national finals.

A trip to Miles City, Montana, paid off for the Northwest College rodeo team — with the men’s team winning the first two-day rodeo and multiple Trapper men and women putting in top performances over the four days of action.

The second half of the Northwest College rodeo season is set to kick off  today (Thursday) with a pair of rodeos over four days in Bozeman, Montana, at the Montana State Spring Rodeo.
